Is the Ford Escape All-Wheel Drive?

When you’re driving in tough conditions in or around Fairfax, traction is key. That’s why the new Ford Escape, for sale now at Ted Britt Fairfax Ford, is available with all-wheel drive in addition to the front-wheel drive that comes standard with the 2022 Escape. All-Wheel Drive models also have the option for AWD Disconnect, which automatically monitors your driving conditions and switches off All-Wheel Drive when it isn’t needed.

Can a Ford Escape Tow a Trailer?

The new Ford Escape can tow when properly equipped! With the available Class II Trailer Tow Package, you can tow up to 3,500 pounds, and with the automatic sway control system, you won’t have to worry about stability. The Class II Trailer Tow Package is available on the top two trim levels, the Ford Escape SEL and the Ford Escape Titanium, with the 2.0L EcoBoost® engine with auto start/stop.

Is the Ford Escape Electric?

While there is no all-electric model of the 2022 Ford Escape, the Ford Escape Hybrid and Ford Escape Plug-In Hybrid models feature an extra electric motor and eCVT Hybrid Transmission for extra fuel efficiency without the range anxiety of an all-electric vehicle. Does the Ford Escape Require a Special Coolant?

All-gasoline models of the Ford Escape, including the 2022 Ford Escape S, 2022 Ford Escape SE, 2022 Ford Escape SEL, and 2022 Ford Escape Titanium, can use traditional coolant. If you use a hybrid model, like the Ford Escape SE Hybrid, 2022 Ford Escape SEL Plug-In Hybrid, or 2022 Ford Escape Titanium Plug-In Hybrid, you might need a special hybrid-grade coolant for the electric part of the vehicle. Yes! All trim levels of the new Ford Escape come with a mini spare tire. Since it’s smaller than full-size tires, it’s intended only for short drives home or to a mechanic in an emergency without needing to call a tow truck.

The Ford Escape has five seats in two rows. All trim levels feature a 60/40 split second row, making it easy to accommodate the people and gear you carry wherever you drive.
